Afternoon at the Movies with ReelAbilitiesWednesday, June 10, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ETFor 17 years, ReelAbilities International—the world’s premier presenter of disability-forward cinema—has curated powerful films that challenge assumptions, elevate unheard voices, and spark necessary conversations. Now, in collaboration with Access/VSA, we’re bringing this vision to Afternoon at the Movies, a quarterly screening series crafted especially for Network members. Each session features a short film or 30-minute showcase of short films introduced by Network member and ReelAbilities’ Director of Engagement, Lawrence Carter-Long, followed by a group discussion. Together, we’ll explore the intersection of storytelling, disability, and culture sampling several cinematic styles and discuss how these narratives can inform and elevate our work across the arts, education, and administration. We invite you to join us to watch, engage, reflect, and connect the dots between film and the more inclusive future we’re all shaping. Bring a colleague. Bring your questions. Bring popcorn, if you’d like. But most of all, bring your curiosity. Register Now!
