Lightning Talk: Alt Text in the World: Pop Culture, AI, and Other Trends

Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 4:00-4:30 p.m. ET
FREE for members, $15 for non-members

We're finding alt text and description in some unexpected places - let's explore a few and muse on additional opportunities. While we're together, let's also see what AI is up to, now that it's here and seems to be coming for alt text, and think about ways AI could be useful in creating description without fully writing it.

Presenter:

Lorena Bradford’s work lives at the intersection of art and accessibility. She has worked with museums and theaters for over 25 years, creating and overseeing programs, writing description of all kinds, and training on accessibility.

Lightning Talks are concise virtual presentations by experts (10 minutes or less) followed by a short live Q&A session.
