Description: This webinar will take viewers on the journey through which Kaiser’s Room and St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf envisioned, created, and then adapted (for Covid-19) fully accessible arts programming for deaf children with multiple disabilities (“Deaf-Plus” students). The webinar will describe the collaborative process of bringing multiple organizations and Deaf teaching-artists together both in-person and virtually, and strategies that teaching-artists used to reach diverse students who are deaf – many of whom have additional disabilities such as autism and blindness. The presenters will share lessons learned from programming in both the in-person and virtual spheres, as well as plans for growing the partnership to reach more Deaf-Plus students while providing fulfilling teaching opportunities for Deaf teaching artists.
