Accessibility and Inclusion for Festival Settings

Category: Webinars
Accessibility within festival settings can present a host of unique challenges-from flexible space boundaries, to technology snafus to the whims of Mother Nature. This webinar will explore the design and implementation of inclusive festival environments through the ongoing journey of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Attendees will explore and consider a wide range of topics including spatial design, programming, technology needs, customer service operational procedures, community outreach, and stakeholder collaboration. The Folklife Festival returned in person last year, with a hybrid component. Onsite, online, and hybrid are all important and this session will touch on that aspect of festivals as well. Presenter: Diane Nutting, Access and Inclusion Specialist Register to receive a link._________________________ Webinars are $10 for non-members unless otherwise noted. Closed captioning and ASL interpretation are both available for all webinars. For the most accessible viewing experience, we recommend watching the webinar on a desktop computer or laptop screen.
