LEAD Lightning Talk: New Accessibility Self-Assessment Tool for Arts and Culture Organizations

Tuesday, November 19, 2024, From 1:00 - 1:30 P.M. ET

Open Door Arts has developed a FREE, comprehensive electronic accessibility self-assessment tool for arts and culture organizations. The tool has been developed in partnership with experts in the fields of arts and culture, disability, and the ADA and uniquely focuses on the needs of arts and culture organizations while centering the voices and perspectives of people with disabilities. During this session, staff from Open Door Arts will review the purpose of this tool, how it was developed, and how to use it to increase access. There will be time for participants to ask questions of the speakers following the presentation.

Lightning Talks are concise virtual presentations by experts (10 minutes or less) followed by a short live Q&A session. A benefit of Access/VSA Network membership, these webinars are FREE to all current members and $10 for the public. Come see how much you can learn in just a half-hour!

Closed captioning and ASL interpretation are both available for all webinars. For the most accessible viewing experience, we recommend watching the webinar on a desktop computer or laptop screen. For more information or to request other access services, please contact the Office of Accessibility and VSA at (202) 416-8727 (voice) or [email protected].
