Description: Over the last 6 months, the Creative Doodle Book Project has been working with community groups across the United Kingdom delivering inclusive online workshops during physical distancing. This webinar will discuss key ideas from the project including creativity and wellbeing in relation to both individual and group activity. We will focus in particular on the efficacy and impact of online spaces when working with people with cognitive disabilities. We will explore the surprising equity of zoom, the importance of creative self-expression and the value of having something tangible in the hand. The Creative Doodle Book is developed in collaboration with Mind the Gap Theatre Company and is supported by UK Research and Innovation Covid-19 funding.
Presenters: Professor Matthew Reason (York St John University) and Vicky Ackroyd (Totally Inclusive People)
