SPED Webinar: Music For All, Engaging All Learners in the Accessible Music Classroom
Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. ET
Music education is a foundational, educational and experiential right for every student. In some instances, music teachers might feel challenged when working with students who require more support in the music classroom. Nevertheless, music teachers can find ways to engage all students while developing high-quality musical instruction. By using such strategies such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), task analysis, assistive technology, and multisensory learning - the music classroom can become accessible to all. This session will specifically highlight elements such as accessible music literacy, singing, and developing independence. Presenter: Brian Wagner-Yeung Free for members, $15 for non-members. Register here! Closed captioning and ASL interpretation are both available for all webinars. For the most accessible viewing experience, we recommend watching the webinar on a desktop computer or laptop screen.
