LEAD Lightning Talk: Using an Accessibility Page to Attract People with Disabilities

Wednesday, June 5, 2024, From 1:00 - 1:30 P.M. ET

Oftentimes accessibility statements and accessibility pages are used interchangeably. Not using an accessibility page to its fullest is a missed opportunity. This presentation will explain accessibility pages and how they differ from an accessibility statements. It will also provide ideas to use it as a powerful tool to attract people with disabilities and grow the outreach of your organization, basically for free.
About the Presenter: Tom Babinszki, born totally blind in Hungary, has been involved with accessibility for the last 25 years, helping corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations as an accessibility consultant. He trained the first blind accessibility consultants in Southeast Asia in 2008, built the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Hadley School for the Blind, and created the IBM corporate accessibility training program.
